Paris, May 11: French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of Europe Day, said "Europe has protected us from crises and it will enable us to create jobs, security and order in a world full of dangers." The French President in a tweet on Tuesday (May 9) said that during the pandemic, European democracies took the necessary steps to protect its most vulnerable citizens.

He said that Europe in order to tackle the economic crisis caused by the pandemic, took an important step. Macron in his tweet said: "Our joint response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine was a landmark moment. We drew a line under European dependence on Russian fossil fuels. The French President said some 40 hydrogen projects have been launched in Europe and the continent's share of the global semiconductor market will have doubled by 2030, reaching 20 per cent. Macron said Europe means solidarity, green jobs, protection and leverage in the face of change.
