Haryana's Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee to set up oxygen plant in Amritsar

Amritsar, May 8: The Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) from Haryana, has decided to set up oxygen plant as well as provide services through oxygen concentrators for the treatment of Covid-19 patients, at Amritsar.

The President of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Bibi Jagir Kaur said, the SGPC is setting up an oxygen plant at Shri Guru Ramdas Medical College in Amritsar, which will be functioning within a week. She said, for the purpose, the approval has also been taken from the Central Government and two big generators have also been purchased.
 
 
 
 

Bibi Jagir Kaur added that the SGPC is also making efforts to prepare oxygen from air as well. The SGPC president said that Shri Guru Ram Das Hospital has already been reserved for corona patients, which has the facility of 100 beds and 37 ventilators.
Considering the rising cases of Covid-19, the SGPC has now set up temporary wards at Gurudwara Manji Sahib Alamgir with two rows of 25 beds each and 25 beds facility at Shri Damdama Sahib.
